The Sciens Low Voltage Division originated as Low Voltage Integrated Systems, founded in Vista in 2002 by Mike Arguijo and John Mongillo, who brought more than 40 years of combined industry experience. From the beginning, the company built a reputation for technical expertise across fire alarm systems, special hazard systems, security, access control, CCTV, intercoms, public address systems, clock systems, and multimedia communication platforms.

Over more than two decades, the team has supported education, biomedical research, industrial facilities, commercial campuses, and municipal environments throughout Southern California. In July 2024, the company was acquired by Sciens and now operates as the Sciens Low Voltage Division.
